Pastor Derrick Hicks - Pastor of Family Ministries

Picture
Andrea and I came to Bethel in the fall of 2016, when I joined the staff in the position of Associate Pastor of Family Ministries.  After working closely with the senior pastor at that time, I served in an interim capacity following his retirement.  I am excited to be able to serve now as the Lead Pastor and look forward to how God will use Bethel to change lives and impact our community for good.

My wife and I both grew up in small-town suburbs of Rochester, NY. In the spring of 2016, I graduated from Baptist Bible Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree.  I am a huge Buffalo Sabres fan. Andrea is an avid reader, and loves gardens and livestock.

In our short time here we have seen God do amazing things.  We can’t wait to see what He’s going to do in the future!

Arlene Coulter - Office Administrator

As a volunteer, Arlene enjoyed serving at Bethel in a variety of capacities before becoming a member of the staff. She also fills in as a substitute teacher when needed at Bethel Baptist Christian Academy.

She and John live on 20 acres in rural southwestern NY.  Together they have reared three sons and one daughter, and they include two daughters-in-love, two grandsons, and two granddaughters in their growing, fun-loving, often noisy and rowdy family.  John is employed as the Chief Broadcast Engineer of Family Life Network, but when they have time, they enjoy motorcycle riding, ham radio, target practice, and travel. When the family is gone and the house is quiet, Arlene makes her own soaps, invents new recipes, embroiders, crochets, and writes books.
